Shout out to Marichi Loco in Simi Valley. It is absolutely delicious. We love everything..the food which is from Sinaloa the northern region of Mexico. Which is coastal, so Sushi is a huge part of the menu, with all your traditional Mexican dishes as well...I don't eat Sushi and I love EVERYTHING ON THIS MENU!! The staff is AMAZING...friendly, kind and they become your friends...if Brittany is working you get a real treat as she is a true gift, she personalized your experience, stoping at all the tables, talking to everyone and creating the experience of love. The plating is beautiful, each dish is served on beautiful plates, and the food prep is so lovely, and the bar....best drinks and bartenders EVER! When it's just my hubby and I we love eating at the bar and enjoying staff and other patrons company, and when we're with friends the tables are perfect. Thank you Brittany and the complete staff for our awsome dinners, drinks, and company. See you this Friday Night!!

The first couple of times we visited this restaurant, they weren't quite ready. Once was before they had their liquor license and the second, whe. Their a/c was out. When my husband suggested it the third time, it was really a make it or break time on whether we would be returning. The restaurant itself, was designed so well for such a small space. When you walk in, you could easily be at a restaurant in LA. We went on a Friday night after work around 6pm. It was really busy. There was no hostess and it took about five minutes for us to be acknowledged by the waitress. In her defense it was really busy and was working as fast as she could with such a friendly demeanor. Once we were seated, drinks were brought over right away. I enjoyed the Mango Margarita first. It was well made, just enough alcohol to relax my old bones after a long day. After my first drink, as well as the delicious chips and salsa, everything was rosier. The small space of the restaurant itself does not give much room for big distractions. Music and the huge television kind of took away from the experience. Even though the television had videos of the music playing, I think the vibe would be improved without the tv and music a little lower. It's hard for me to say it was too loud overall though because some songs you could barely hear the music then got substantially louder for other songs. A little work can be done to help fix that. Our main course arrived at the same time as the appetizer, even though we told her we wanted it first, so it took a little bit away from our dining experience. It was too much food at the same time. I honestly think the ceviche duo should be an entree and not the appetizer area of the menu. Overall the food was great. The menu is a little all over the place for a Mexican restaurant. I would love to see more expansion of what attracts everyone to the restaurant, Mexican dishes. The chefs take on these dishes is excellent and I'd love to see more Mexican dishes in the menu. Sushi really doesn't fit with this brand in my opinion. We will definitely be returning soon. I can't wait to see how this restaurant develops. Took a star off for the lack of staff and the loudness of the restaurant. Everything else was right on the money.

Came here with a party of about 20 people. The place is small and quaint but lively! It was a Friday night and they had music videos playing on a big screen tv with the lights very dim. It definitely has a night life atmosphere. Because we had reservations we didn't have a wait time and were seated promptly. The waiter and the staff are very friendly and have great customer service. My children needed to use the restroom and it was very clean and specious. The only downside is that it only has one stall. The food was served promptly and we were able to separate our bill, no extra charge, mind you there were more than 5 different bills in our table since it was a large party. The waiter charged all items accurately! The food presentation was impeccable! Super fun and cute!! Each plate that came to the table looked very professionally presented! They are very into detail. I ordered aguachiles, it wasn't as spicy as I would have liked but It was flavorful and they served shrimp generously! My husband ate the burrito with green sauce on top and enjoyed it as well. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought a dessert and a sombrero with a nice happy birthday sign so our table was able to sing happy birthday. This place feels homey and not so overwhelming big! If we have a small party or even a large party, they seem like they can accommodate perfectly!

I started off with a double Cadillac margarita which was fantastic. I shared the Tomahawk steak as my main entrée (meant for 2-3 people), which was a little overcooked for my liking. However, it does come with an assortment of sides, including four quesadillas, grilled onions, grilled peppers, guacamole, pico, and tortillas. I substituted the rice and beans for a double salad, which I think was the move because I was absolutely stuffed and even had leftovers! Service was on point, and I appreciated that my server checked in multiple times during my meal without being intrusive. Ambience is festive, and I can see this place really kicking off once people know that it's officially opened. Overall, I would be happy to come back and try other dishes. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area and are craving solid Mexican food.
